DEPARTMENTS
Council Manager:
The council manager oversees the daily operations of the council, ensuring that policies and decisions made by the council are implemented effectively. They manage staff, coordinate council meetings, and serve as a liaison between the council and the community. Additionally, they provide strategic advice to council members, handle public inquiries, and ensure that the council operates within its budget and adheres to regulations.
ICT UNIT
The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) unit is responsible for managing the organization’s technological infrastructure. This includes maintaining computer systems, networks, and servers, ensuring data security and integrity, and providing technical support to staff. They also develop and implement IT policies, oversee software installations, and ensure that all technological tools are used efficiently to enhance organizational productivity.
Public Affairs Unit:
This unit is responsible for managing the organization’s communication strategies and public relations efforts. They create press releases, handle media inquiries, and develop communication materials to inform the public about the organization’s activities. The public affairs unit also engages with the community to build positive relationships, manage public perception, and promote the organization’s initiatives and services.
WAPA (Women Affairs & Poverty Alleviation):
WAPA focuses on providing clean water and sanitation services to the community. Their responsibilities include managing water supply systems, ensuring water quality, and implementing sanitation programs. They also conduct public awareness campaigns on hygiene and sanitation practices, manage wastewater treatment facilities, and work on projects that improve access to safe water and sanitation facilities.
Budget Department:
The budget department is responsible for preparing and managing the organization’s budget. They analyze financial data, forecast revenues, allocate resources, and monitor expenditures to ensure financial stability. This department also prepares budget reports, conducts financial planning, and ensures that the organization adheres to financial regulations and policies.
Procurement Department:
This department handles the acquisition of goods, services, and works needed by the organization. They manage the procurement process, including tendering and bidding, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and ensure that purchases are made in a cost-effective and transparent manner. The procurement department also develops procurement policies and maintains relationships with vendors and contractors.
Finance Department:
The finance department manages the organization’s financial resources, including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting. They ensure compliance with financial regulations, oversee cash flow management, and conduct audits of financial transactions. This department also provides financial analysis and advice to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Admin and HR Department

Additionally, they ensure compliance with labor laws, manage payroll, and oversee benefits and compensation programs to support employee well-being.

Legislative:

They draft, review, and propose legislation, conduct research on legal matters, and support the legislative body in its functions.
