2023 BUDGET: IKEJA LOCAL GOVERNMENT HOLD YEAR 2023 BUDGET STAKEHOLDERS CONSULTATIVE FORUM

The Engr. Mojeed Alabi Balogun led administration of Ikeja local government hold her year 2023 budget stakeholders consultative forum in preparation of 2023 fiscal year.

The budget stakeholders forum which was held at the local council secretariat had grassroots stakeholders present which includes; youths, market traders, artisans, corporate firms representatives, CDAs, as well as other concerned stakeholders in Ikeja community.

Speaking at the event, the council Chairman appreciates the presence of everyone at the event. According to the Chairman, there is a need to call on stakeholders once again in order to assess the need of the members of the public. “We will continue to deliver on laudable developmental projects which are beneficial to our people in the community” – the Chairman said.

The forum had each member of the groups present to share their opinions, expression and the needs in their communities. Also representative from each of the wards express their appreciation for the Chairman owing to the fact that the Chairman has delivered on his campaign promises in their communities.

Responding to the requests of the Stakeholders, the Council Chairman posited that despite challenges his administration is faced with most especially in terms of revenue generation, his administration has been able to embarks on health, education, as well as infrastructural projects across the entire local government area.

“It is important to let everyone know that our major focus at the moment is the giving the council secretariat a major physical infrastructural facelift” – Engr Mojeed Alabi Balogun said.

“However, I am using this medium to tell our people to pay their taxes directly into the council’s bank account. This will afford us to further continue on major projects within the community not minding the ongoing complex Infrastructural projects within the council secretariat.

The budget stakeholders consultative forum was well attended by Executive committee, Legislative members, management team of the council, as well as other grassroots stakeholders within Ikeja community.
